The challenge

Established in 1951 as a family-owned business, Arville has developed into an internationally respected manufacturer of high-performance technical textiles.

Its integrated UK operations bring together design, weaving, coating and fabrication, enabling Arville to create specialist materials for mission-critical applications across aerospace, defence, automotive, medical, pharmaceutical, food, industrial and filtration markets.

Despite this expertise, the way Arville presented itself no longer reflected the innovation-led manufacturer it had become. The challenge was to elevate that perception, communicate a complex technical offer without overwhelming the audience and unite several capabilities, products, sectors and UK operations within one coherent brand experience.

Technical textiles

Seventy-five years, engineered.

Reframing a world-class manufacturer

Arville had evolved considerably as an organisation, but the way it presented itself had not kept pace. Its digital presence spoke of a traditional weaving mill rather than a technical partner working with major multinationals and specialist organisations worldwide.

The work was to realign that perception, express a complex technical offer without overwhelming the reader, and draw several capabilities, products, sectors and UK operations into one coherent brand experience.

What we delivered

Bluestone98 delivered a complete rebrand and a bespoke WordPress platform, built to position Arville as the world-class technical textiles manufacturer it had become.

Understanding came first. Stakeholder workshops, competitor research, audience analysis and journey planning established how Arville’s customers actually look for what they need.

That understanding reshaped the structure. Clear routes now lead into the business through its capabilities, products, sectors and technical expertise, rather than through its internal organisation.

Design, weaving, coating and fabrication are presented as one integrated manufacturing offer, with room to explore specialist products and applications in greater depth.

A digital platform built to work

Behind the experience is a bespoke WordPress platform designed around the realities of a complex manufacturing business.

A flexible modular system gives Arville’s team control over everything from technical knowledge and news to products and capabilities, while maintaining consistency across the wider experience.

Forms, documentation, search and analytics are integrated into the platform, making the website as useful commercially as it is visually.

Performance, accessibility and discoverability were considered from the outset, creating a robust digital foundation designed to evolve alongside the business.

Capturing British manufacturing

Technical textiles are difficult to photograph well. The skill sits in the hands and the machinery, and neither shows up in a stock library.

Three days inside Arville’s manufacturing environments produced the answer: the people, the looms, the materials and the processes, captured where they actually happen. Photography, interviews, video and drone footage cover everything from skilled hands at the loom to the scale of the factory floor.

Where a camera could not explain a process, CGI animation took over, making complex technical innovation visible for the first time.

A connected brand experience

The rebrand extended beyond the website into company stationery, brochures, branded assets and digital campaigns. Each element was designed to present one consistent organisation across Arville’s different sites and specialist operations.

The new identity brings together the company’s heritage, manufacturing capability and commitment to innovation. It gives Arville a more confident position within demanding global markets while remaining grounded in the people, expertise and family values that have shaped the business for 75 years.

The results

A more effective source of qualified enquiries

The new platform isn’t simply attracting a larger audience. It is creating more opportunities for that audience to engage directly with Arville.

Enquiries have grown significantly, alongside increased demand for technical specifications, brochures and detailed product information. For a business built around complex, considered purchasing decisions, that deeper level of engagement matters.

The website has become an active part of the commercial conversation, helping potential customers move from initial research towards a meaningful enquiry.

“It has been a pleasure working with Bluestone98. The entire process, from ideation through to completion, has been superb. We are delighted with our new website, which has transformed our digital presence. I have worked with many digital agencies around the world, and they have been one of the best and easiest to work with.”

Search visibility that attracts the right audience

Search is increasingly connecting Arville with people actively researching specialist materials, manufacturing capabilities and potential supply partners.

That audience arrives with intent. Visitors are spending time with technical content, exploring capabilities and moving deeper into the site, making discovery valuable not simply in volume, but in relevance.

At the same time, stronger direct and social audiences point to growing recognition of the Arville name, and to specialist knowledge that is now reaching people through more than one route.

Content that builds confidence

Visitors are moving beyond the homepage and exploring the people, expertise and company story behind Arville.

Greater interest in the company’s people, story and contact information shows an audience looking beyond products alone. For a specialist manufacturer, revealing the expertise and personalities behind the technology helps build confidence long before a conversation begins.

Increased use of on-site search tells a similar story. Visitors aren’t simply browsing. They’re actively looking for particular materials, capabilities and technical answers.

Making specialist knowledge discoverable

Decades of technical expertise are only valuable online if people can find and understand them.

Arville’s capabilities, products, sectors and technical knowledge are now connected through a clear content structure, creating meaningful relationships between everything from weaving and coating to aerospace, defence and medical applications.

Specialist information that once lived predominantly within technical documents can now be discovered and understood as part of the wider digital experience.

Complexity, made clear

The greatest achievement is clarity. Arville works across four integrated capabilities, numerous specialist product groups, eight major sectors and several UK sites, and behind each sits exacting technical information built over decades.

None of that complexity needs to reach the visitor. Customers can enter through a sector, product, capability or technical question and arrive quickly at what is relevant to them. Arville’s team publishes and updates content internally without compromising the design, sales teams have a clearer way to explain the integrated offer, and prospective employees can see the people and culture behind the technology.

Built to scale

More than a rebrand or a new website.

It is a connected brand and digital system that reflects 75 years of expertise, supports international growth and helps turn specialist knowledge into measurable commercial engagement.

Let's build something great together.
