The challenge

Permasteelisa Group has helped shape city skylines for generations. Behind that work lie more than 150 years of façade heritage, over 3,000 iconic projects and more than 20 million square metres of installed façade.

The previous website no longer carried that weight. The Group needed one global platform to bring its brands and regional operations together, give landmark projects real presence, and provide a foundation able to grow.

Global façade engineering

Shaping skylines for generations.

Permasteelisa Group designs, engineers, manufactures and installs the architectural façades that give the world’s most ambitious buildings their outer form.

More than 150 years of façade heritage stand behind that work, expressed in over 3,000 iconic projects and more than 20 million square metres of installed façade. Over 2,000 specialists now work across four international regions.

A digital presence to match

The previous website no longer carried the weight of the business behind it, or conveyed its scale, engineering depth and architectural significance.

The Group needed one global platform capable of holding its position as a leading international façade specialist, drawing its brands and regional operations into a single organisation, and giving landmark projects the presence they deserve.

It also had to make highly specialised work legible, serve audiences across many markets, strengthen recruitment and corporate communications, and leave room to grow into new languages and new content, all of it easy to find.

What we delivered

Bluestone98 worked alongside the Group’s communications and marketing teams to build an entirely new global digital presence.

The work opened with discovery and international stakeholder workshops, mapping the Group’s structure, audiences, brands, regional operations and long-term communication objectives.

What followed took its shape from that. The architecture had to hold seven brands and four regions without flattening any of them, the design had to carry photography of buildings people recognise, and the build had to work in several languages across markets with very different connection speeds.

Bringing a global group together

The Group works through a family of highly specialised international brands: Permasteelisa, Gartner, Scheldebouw, Permasteelisa Gartner Middle East, Permasteelisa Gartner Retail, Permasteelisa North America and FaçadeCare.

Each carries its own expertise, heritage, territory and portfolio. The task was to let those identities stand while presenting one connected global organisation.

A flexible structure now lets visitors enter by brand, region, project, expertise, technology, insight or career. Each route reveals how the parts of the Group relate, and how much of the world its work reaches.

Turning specialist engineering into clear content

The Group’s service runs end to end, from early engagement and engineering through production, installation and aftercare. The work itself is exacting: unitised façades, complex steel and glass structures, closed cavity façades, bespoke metal components and luxury retail façades.

That expertise now appears in a form that stays accessible without being simplified away. Clear hierarchies, specialist landing pages, related projects and considered navigation help architects, contractors and developers gauge the real depth of what the Group can do.

The same structure makes that expertise easy to find, whichever way someone chooses to look for it.

Architecture-led visual storytelling

The portfolio includes some of the most recognisable buildings on earth. Any digital home for it had to match the scale, precision and visual quality of the work, and stay quick and easy to move through.

The answer was an image-led design system: large-format architectural photography, immersive project pages, structured project information, brand and regional categorisation, responsive delivery and modular editorial layouts.

Architecture leads. The technology sits quietly behind it, still doing the practical work of business development, recruitment and communication.

A platform engineered for international scale

Underneath sits a bespoke, scalable WordPress build, made to carry a continually expanding library of projects, technical content, news, careers information and regional pages.

Performance mattered more than usual here, because high-resolution architectural photography has to reach a global audience. Responsive image delivery, compression, lazy loading, advanced caching, content delivery network integration and international monitoring keep the experience quick in every market.

The Group has far more control over its own content, while consistency holds across brands, regions and page types.

The results

Discovery now leads people to the work

Organic discovery is increasingly where audiences encounter Permasteelisa’s projects, brands and expertise, with search now the principal route into the platform.

More importantly, those audiences are staying to explore. From landmark projects and specialist technologies to careers and regional operations, the depth of the Group is being discovered far beyond the homepage.

The effect compounds. Work completed years ago keeps finding new readers, and the platform keeps introducing them to the rest of the Group.

“Working with the team at Bluestone98 on the development of the new Permasteelisa Group website was a highly positive experience. The project was managed professionally and collaboratively from start to finish, and we are delighted with the result.”

Read in the markets that matter

The audience reflects Permasteelisa’s own international footprint, with strong readership across North America and Europe and growing engagement throughout Asia.

And people are travelling well beyond the homepage. Gartner has become one of the platform’s strongest destinations, while sustained interest in Projects, Careers and Contact shows the breadth of roles the website now performs.

From discovering a landmark façade to exploring a career or starting a conversation, one global platform is connecting different audiences with the parts of Permasteelisa that matter to them.

Built to be found, however people search

The platform is structured so the full scope of the Group’s capability is legible. Clear relationships between brands, regions, expertise, technologies and projects give that knowledge a shape.

It holds up across every specialism, from global façade engineering, unitised curtain wall systems and closed cavity façades through to sustainable façade technology, luxury retail work and careers in the field.

None of this rests on repetition. It rests on well-organised content that describes real experience accurately, which is what earns attention however someone arrives.

Engineered beneath the surface

Behind the design sits a technical and content system planned for the long term, and for the whole world.

It carries seven brands and four regions in one structure, moves high-resolution architectural photography quickly to every market, publishes in several languages, and gives the Group’s own teams modular components to build with. The complexity that comes with an organisation this size is handled underneath, where the visitor never meets it.

Built for the world stage

Worthy of the skylines it shows.

A global platform that carries the Group’s scale, precision and engineering expertise, gives its landmark projects the stage they deserve, and leaves firm ground for however people come to find them next.

Let's build something great together.
