The challenge

Established in 2003, Viamaster International provides efficient, reliable and cost-effective international freight and logistics services from its Yorkshire base.

The previous digital presence did not fully communicate the company’s combination of expertise, personality and global reach. Viamaster needed a website that could explain complex services clearly, communicate the values behind the business and generate relevant contact and quotation activity.

International freight & logistics

Logistics with personality.

Established in 2003, Viamaster International provides efficient, reliable and cost-effective international freight and logistics services from its Yorkshire base: European road transport, customs and documentation, worldwide sea and air freight, and specialist logistics services.

Viamaster is built around personal service, honest advice and long-term relationships. Its experienced team combines international capability with a friendly, hands-on and highly responsive way of working.

A business bigger than its website

Viamaster had grown into an international operation, but its digital presence had not kept pace. The website described a smaller and more ordinary business than the one behind it.

The task was to make a complicated service offer legible without flattening it, and to let the character of the team come through. Customers needed to find routes, customs guidance and specialist capabilities quickly, then feel confident enough to ask for a quotation. The same experience had to work for someone looking for a job or a partnership rather than a shipment.

Above all, the business needed a digital presence that matched its actual scale.

What we delivered

The work started with the business rather than the website, spending time with the management team and with staff across the operation to understand how Viamaster works and how it thinks. That produced a standalone identity for Viamaster International, distinct from its parent company but carrying the trust the group had built, with a brand toolkit to keep it consistent wherever it appears.

From there the service offer was reorganised around what customers are actually trying to do, with the people behind it brought to the front. The website was built around that identity, carrying the brand, the original photography and film, and enquiry journeys designed to turn interest into conversations.

An overview of the new Viamaster International website

Putting people at the centre of the brand

International freight is a complex, highly competitive sector, but Viamaster’s approach is grounded in people. The business is built around a close-knit team, long-standing client relationships and a commitment to making logistics feel more straightforward.

Rather than relying on generic transport imagery, Bluestone98 photographed, interviewed, filmed and captured drone footage of the real Viamaster team and working environment.

This original content gives prospective customers and employees an honest view of the people behind the service. It helps the business feel approachable and human while retaining the confidence and authority expected of an international logistics provider.

Original photography, film and drone content

Logistics is movement, scale, people and pace. Stock imagery captures none of it.

So the content came from the real operation: the team at work, the vehicles, the depots and the infrastructure they move through. Interviews put the people on record in their own words. Drone footage established the physical scale of the business in a way a ground-level camera cannot, and film carried the pace of a working freight operation.

The result is a visual world that belongs to Viamaster and could not be lifted from any other logistics company.

Making complex logistics easier to understand

Viamaster understands the complexity. Its customers should not have to.

The site is organised around four service areas: European road transport, customs and documentation, worldwide sea and air freight, and special services. Within them, people can arrive by destination, by freight type, by a customs question or by a specialist requirement, and reach the right answer without needing to understand how the company is structured internally.

Scheduled European services, groupage, part and full loads, express and specialist projects are all covered, but the structure does the work of pointing each visitor to the part that concerns them.

The results

Deeper engagement. Greater intent.

People are going further into the business before they get in touch. They read more of the service detail, spend longer with the destinations that matter to them, and arrive at the contact form already knowing what they want to ask.

For a specialist B2B logistics provider, that is the behaviour worth having. A smaller number of genuinely relevant visitors is worth more than volume, because the enquiries that follow are better qualified.

The strongest gains landed in the markets that count most, with the United Kingdom ahead and both Germany and the United States improving sharply.

International recognition for the website

The site was nominated at Awwwards in November 2025, which put a Yorkshire freight business in front of an international design audience.

That audience is not Viamaster’s commercial one and was never meant to be. What it shows is that a logistics website was judged worth looking at on the same terms as work submitted by designers anywhere in the world.

Awwwards and CSS Design Awards together sent thousands of referral sessions, with referral traffic up more than fivefold year on year.

“Bluestone98 did a fantastic job in understanding what we were looking for with our new branding and have delivered our vision perfectly. The thorough consultation process with not just the management team but also engaging with staff across the business helped them to fully understand how we work and how we think, enabling them to perfectly encapsulate our values complimented by impressive visuals to bring the concept to life. Our relationship with Bluestone98 is an ongoing partnership and essential for us in order to stand out in an ultra-competitive marketplace.”

Found by the right people

Viamaster’s services, destinations and specialist capabilities are now structured around the way customers actually look for them.

Someone searching for a route into Italy, a customs question, a dangerous goods movement or an exhibition transport project reaches the part of the business that handles it, rather than a general overview. The original photography, team detail and specific operational information all point the same way: a working freight company, not a directory entry.

That structure serves established search and newer forms of discovery alike, and the effect shows in markets Viamaster had not previously reached, with India among the fastest growing.

Beneath the surface

Behind the experience sits a flexible digital system built to organise a complicated international service offer without passing that complexity on to the customer. Services, destinations, content, enquiries and recruitment can each evolve independently while still reading as one connected Viamaster experience.

The result is a website that feels unmistakably Viamaster. It combines the scale and expertise of an international freight business with the warmth, responsiveness and personality of its team.
